I volunteer at the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson AZ.I do general dog walking as well as working with the TopDogs Team to help the behaviorally challenged dogs. As a group we work with the problematic dogs, but more importantly we train other volunteers to train the shelter dogs, with the hopes of making the dogs more adoptable.I also work with adopters and fosters to help their newly adopted/fostered dogs acclimate to life in a home away from the shelter. This process can be challenging for some dogs as well as for the adopters/fosters.I have started a private Foundation to offer free training for dogs fostered or adopted from Pima Animal Care Center, our county shelter.
