Certified Professional Dog Trainer Tricia Kennedy KPA-CTP, CCPDT-KA, and Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT) is experienced in both minor and more serious canine behavioral problems including separation anxiety (which she received her certification in recently as part of a rigorous program led by Malena DiMartini, worldwide expert in SA), reactivity, resource guarding and impulse control issues, particularly in adolescents. Tricia also has extensive experience in helping dogs who suffer from fear and anxiety with an empathetic, caring manner; invested in your dogs success. In addition, Tricia helps families start right with new their new puppy and teaches polite manners to adolescent and adult dogs. For Tricia, dog training is not just about behavior, it's about the emotions that drive the behavior and her compassion for dogs and their guardians in evident in everything she does, that is what drives her to succeed every day with every dog.Tricia follows the science of Canine Learning Theory and the ever changing updates to that science through study and continuing education, building that knowledge into her training practices. She teaches people how to establish 2-way communication with their dog, building a strong relationship through mutual understanding, solving behavioral problems, and helping their dog reach their happiest existence and full potential through the use of positive reinforcement training. Tricia takes a Holistic Approach, focusing on the whole dog going well beyond simple sits, downs and stays; teaching dogs how to calm themselves, use their intellect and be active learners.
