Our Head Trainer, Katherine McGill, is CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed). All the Trainers at SAMS are Certified Trick Dog Instructors, AKC CGC / S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluators, APDT C.L.A.S.S. Evaluators and Penn Foster Career School-Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructors. We offer group classes and Private Training at our heated/air conditioned facility.

Her dog training interests include solid basic foundations for puppies and adults, behaviour modification for shy and fear-reactive dogs, scent detection, and training assistance dogs - all using up-to-date, science-backed force free methods. Kate apprenticed under several certified professional trainers and behaviour consultants while working full time in the holistic pet industry as a manager, buyer, and training coordinator. Kate is currently a trainer at Canine Development & Testing (Calgary, Alberta), and an Alberta qualified list service dog evaluator. CANIDAPT is a member of the Alberta Force Free Alliance (AFFA) and Pet Professional Guild.
