I've been in this business for 30 years. My focus is on the bond between the dogs and their human companions. I am a reinforcement based trainer. I put emphasis on structure, guidance, and boundaries so as to set up the household for success. This process prevents the rehearsal of unwanted behaviors, while providing ample opportunities for reinforcement of desirable behaviors. I start all clients with private lessons and use group classes to augment their private lesson training. I believe early learning should be done in the least distracting environment possible, which group classes do not offer. Group classes make a dandy second step, but they are a poor first step. I also do behavior consultations.
