I am the Lead Dog Trainer at locally owned Mighty Pet store in Menominee, Michigan. In addition to having my CPDT-KA I am also a graduate of Micheal Shikashio's Aggression In Dogs Master Course and a licensed Veterinary Technician. Mighty Pet is a one of a kind local family owned business. We began as a pet supply retail store and have grown to include pet lodging, doggy day camp, and training services. I joined Mighty Pet in 2017 to help build their training program. Since that time our program has grown to include multiple group classes, day training, private training, in home training and behavior consultation services. Our group classes cover a variety of disciplines and topics including puppy manners, basic obedience, therapy dog training, Rally obedience and dog powered sports like dog sledding and canicross. My private training/behavior consultation services cover a wide range of needs including separation anxiety, aggression, reactivity and fear.Through our training program at Mighty Pet I help pet parents to develop their dog into a welcome member of the family by understanding the unique needs of each client and their dog. Then using the least invasive, minimally aversive methods possible, I develop a structured, yet flexible training plan, utilizing modern learning theory and training techniques. When necessary I work with owners to address and modify their dog's unhealthy or dangerous behavior.
